INTERACTCREATIVE
There is nothing better than checking inspirational talents at neozine* and all other mags and blogs. Even better is to know that such a splendid creative company is based at my home town and inspirationally echoes to the rest of the world.

NEOZINE* - Tell us about your project, who "are" Interactcreative and what is your main purpose?
IC - Interactcreative is a young new-media agency which consists of Benedita Feijó & Michael Andersen. We do all the work and run the company.
Our purpose is to create unique fresh content for all sorts of new media projects, it can be anywhere between an interactive web experience and Tv, Print, Viral, & Art.

NEOZINE* - When we were watching your work we got curious... who does what on Interact Creative? Do you both animate and illustrate or do you have defined specific tasks for each?
IC - We automatically split tasks, pick up naturally on different ideas, play them front to back and back to front, mess with each other s work, throw in some humor, and a pinch of salt.

NEOZINE* - Do you consider expanding as a studio like having loads of designers/ people working for your or two is enough?
IC - For the time being we have been capable of producing results for demands out there, if an expansion should occur, it should happen in a natural way, not necessarily because we want to, only if there is an absolute need to.
We are very protective of our work and style, so any addition to the agency would have to impress.

NEOZINE* - Let's talk about your work, Interesting clients have provided creative works. This does not happen quite often and it is clear on Absolut Ruby Red TV AD. So... how did you came up with that? What was the process and how did you managed to keep the obvious handcraft/ classical look of the animation knowing that technology could have got too much in the way?
IC - It just felt natural to try to convert the existing imagery we had created, and bring it to a new level visually. Animation was a way of complementing the whole package, if you see a print Ad and an animated sequence of that same print Ad, you can see motion in the stills, it sets your mind adrift. In the Absolut TV Ad case, we wanted a 2D in 3D kind of flow, we saw everything in a living, breathing way from day one, while we were creating the characters. Technology is your friend, it allows you to generate results in you own way and style. Where would we all be without Technology?

NEOZINE* - On Absolut Ruby Red Web Musical, we got obviously curious about the influences. Were Terry Gilliam animations for Monty Python a starting point since this work is a musical and songs tend to comedy as well? What do you think about influences in general?
IC - What is your favourite song? Its hard to pinpoint exactly what motivates and drives and inspires you. Its a new day every day, so influences change from one day to another from new inspiring directions.

NEOZINE* - How much fun do you place on your work? Do you know it's contagious? Because whenever we check your work, good mood and good vibes tend to flow.
IC - We are actually quite serious workers! We try to mix work and play as much as possible, and chill each other out when needed ;-) If you have fun doing something, whatever it may be, that fun reflects onto the final product.

NEOZINE* - Let us know about your future plans and future work :-)
IC - We are constantly expanding in as many different directions as we can. It could be video today and sculpture tomorrow, art as a whole is connected, so we experiment with all these great connections, but as a rule, we don´t discuss unfinished business. That is just plain bad practice. We are currently involved in some really interesting projects, that´s how much we´re telling ;-) So far so good!
